Cable wire accessories can be incorporated into your electronics set-up at any point–including when you’re pre-wiring your home. We sell zippers for cables to a number of contractors who want to make neat, safe, and convenient pre-wiring set-ups for their clients. Clients also like to know that if they need future electrical work done or even want to install or change components themselves, they will be able to do so easily and safely.

The standard diameter of a zipper for cables are 25mm (or one inch). One inch are what is sold in our all-in-one polybags, and are typically used at computer desks, as they can hold up to 12 or 14 standard computer cables. Contractors who are pre-wiring homes often order spools of different diameters. We have 8, 15, 20, and 30mm diameter Cable Zippers as well, which may be appropriate for custom jobs.

You can also choose any length you want. This is ideal for pre-wiring, because you can easily have upwards of 30 or 40 feet of cable running between rooms. If you are running exposed cables around the perimeter of a room, a zipers for cables are even more important. It’s easy to anchor the zipper to the wall with tape or staples, and it keeps children, pets, and guests from tripping on exposed wires.

It’s also easier to clean a home when exposed cables are bundled in the zipper. Instead of trying to navigate through a tangle of wires with a vacuum or dust cloth, you can easily move the one zippered cable out of the way or dust it. When you see how easy it is , you’ll want to put all your cables into zippers and never worry about them again!
